What is the residence (settlement address) certificate?
The residence certificate shows the person’s current address in the address registration system. It is obtained from e-Devlet or the registry office and used as proof of address in official correspondence.
What is it needed for in an Italian application?
It can be asked for to show the residence address in the visa file, the household address in DSU/ISEE, and the tie to Turkey in some residence procedures. The address is also taken as a basis in determining the consulate’s jurisdiction.
Where and how do you get the document?
Obtain the document from the “Settlement Address and Other Address Certificate Inquiry” service on e-Devlet or from the registry office. The apostille on a registry-sourced document is taken through the Governorate.
The apostille and sworn-translation process
Take the document current, have it apostilled where needed and have the sworn Italian translation made. The address detail must be current and consistent with the other documents in the application file.
What to watch in the sworn translation
The residence address must be consistent with the jurisdiction of the Italian consulate you apply to; if there is an address change, take a current document. The document is wanted current-dated.
Our Ankara Kızılay-based office runs the apostille tracking and the notarised sworn Italian translation of your document end to end — no need to visit the office, by courier and e-document. For an exact price, take a free quote from the box on the right.
Frequently asked questions
Is the e-Devlet printout enough?
In some procedures the barcoded printout is accepted, while where an apostille is wanted a certified extract from the registry office is needed.
Does the address determine the consulate’s jurisdiction?
Yes; your residence address affects which consulate you apply to, so it matters that the address is current.
How long is the document valid?
It is wanted current-dated; a document taken shortly before the application is preferred.
Document formats, apostille/certification authorities and application requirements can change over time. Before starting the process, verify the relevant consulate’s or institution’s current requirements from the official source.
