What is the property declaration?
The property declaration/valuation document shows the property’s tax value in the municipal records. It is obtained from the municipality’s property department and, together with the title deed, clarifies the asset valuation.
What is it needed for in an Italian application?
It can be asked for in the DSU/ISEE Parificato asset (ISPE) calculation, to document the property’s current value. While the title deed shows the ownership, the property declaration/valuation sets out that property’s value; the two are assessed together.
Where and how do you get the document?
Obtain the document from the property/revenue department of the municipality the property is tied to, or via e-Belediye. The apostille on municipality-sourced documents is taken through the relevant District/Provincial Governorate.
The apostille and sworn-translation process
Take the document with the current year’s valuation/tax value, have it apostilled where needed and have the sworn Italian translation made. Because the value is updated yearly, using the declaration for the application period matters.
What to watch in the sworn translation
The declared value must belong to the current year and be consistent with the title-deed details (block, parcel, nature). For more than one property, each must be documented separately.
Our Ankara Kızılay-based office runs the apostille tracking and the notarised sworn Italian translation of your document end to end — no need to visit the office, by courier and e-document. For an exact price, take a free quote from the box on the right.
Frequently asked questions
With a title deed, is the property declaration needed too?
In some DSU valuations it is asked for to show the property’s value; the title deed evidences the ownership, the property declaration the value.
Where do I get the document?
It is obtained from the property department of the municipality the property is tied to, or via the e-Belediye system.
Does it need renewing each year?
Because the value is updated yearly, a current document for the application period is expected.
Document formats, apostille/certification authorities and application requirements can change over time. Before starting the process, verify the relevant consulate’s or institution’s current requirements from the official source.
